cbd for pets

7 October 2021

CBD oil is the latest wellness trend taking over the UK market. It’s becoming so popular in fact, that there is now CBD oil available for your dogs. Most pet owners may well be wary of giving their pets CBD, and this is why it’s important to do your research and source the best CBD online UK.

For many of us, one of the upsides to the lockdown has been the chance to spend more time with our pets, and for them to enjoy more of our undivided attention.

However, new research from the Dogs Trust shows that, while some dogs have been happy to have their human family at home more, others have been stressed by reduced exercise, inability to find a quiet place to rest, or lack of contact with other dogs.

As many people prepare to return to the office, there are bound to be concerned about the well-being of the pets left at home. CBD for pets is an option to help ease into this transition, and whilst there are no specific products marketed directly as CBD for pets, UK law currently prevents this, but there is a strong belief in the CBD community that using regular CBD for pets can have a beneficial effect, and can bring solace to both pets and their owners.

Does CBD calm your dog?

This is a question we get asked on a regular basis, and whilst there is no definitive answer, the benefits of CBD are well documented and we see no reason why these benefits shouldn’t be enjoyed by our beloved animals.

What kind of CBD oil is best for dogs?

This is another question which is often asked and again there is no simple answer. Speaking to a trusted CBD supplier online in the UK is one way to start a valid conversation on this subject, and we also strongly advise that you speak to your veterinarian and ask their advice, as this can vary depending on your pets health issues.

The bottom line is that we all deeply care about our animals, whatever species they may be, and if we can enrich, prolong or make their life more pain-free then we are happy to explore every avenue we can.

Watch out for one of our Focus Groups coming soon in which we will give participants and their pets to manage real-time research into this most important of issues!

No cannabis-based products for animals have been sanctioned by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate and the Home Office confirmed ‘cannabis-based products for medicinal use can only be legally prescribed for human use’.

*We understand customers do give their animals CBD to try and help them with all kinds of problems and we often get asked about giving pets CBD. We are not and do not pretend to be Vets and we are not qualified to offer advice on giving animals CBD.*
